In the city of San Diego there are approximately 21,000 backflow devices.

Making sure each backflow prevention device is operating correctly ensures clean drinking water.

What happens when a backflow occurs? Water runs backwards through your pipes and into the drinking water system. The water flowing backwards could contain something that might contaminate the drinking water supply.

Help us keep San Diego water clean. We can set up automatic testing every year for your device, or send you a reminder e-mail.
